What is the 16-Type Personal Color Analysis?

What is the 16-Type Personal Color Analysis? The 16-Type Personal Color Analysis includes the standard 4-Season Color Analysis as part of the process.
First, we determine your primary season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter), and then proceed to the more detailed 16-Type Personal Color Analysis.

Through this advanced method, we can identify your second season (secondary color) and discover your best colors — the shades that suit you perfectly.

Our salon is one of the few places where you can find your true best colors, uniquely tailored to you.

Unlike the conventional 4-Season Color Analysis, which sometimes cannot fully capture the nuances of individual skin tones,
the 16-Type system refines each season into four subtypes, providing a more precise and personalized analysis. Originally developed for Western complexions, this evolved system helps people of all ethnic backgrounds — including Asians — find the colors that truly enhance their natural beauty.

With this approach, we can offer a more accurate and detailed analysis than ever before.

All sessions are conducted by CSCA-certified 16-Type Personal Image Consultants, using the patented 16-Type Personal Color Analysis method.

By subdividing into 16 types, we can determine the characteristics of colors that suit you best — including your second season (secondary color).
Furthermore, using over 160 drapes, we carefully identify your best colors, ensuring a truly personalized result.

best color ■ What is a “Best Color”?
Simply put, your Best Color is the color that makes you shine the most —
the one that brings out your natural beauty when you wear it as a single piece, such as a dress.
The number of best colors varies from person to person.

Some people who have undergone the traditional 4-Season Color Analysis may have felt uncertain about the results, or started believing that they shouldn’t wear colors outside their assigned type.
As a result, they may have lost confidence in styling or felt limited by a narrow wardrobe.

In the 16-Type Personal Color Analysis, you can also discover your Second Season (Secondary Color).
This allows you to enjoy fashion and makeup more freely — coordinating colors according to TPO (Time, Place, and Occasion) or your desired image.

Your “suitable colors” are those that harmonize with your natural tones — skin, hair, and eyes —
making you look more vibrant, youthful, and full of life.
By incorporating your favorite colors and your second colors into your palette,
you can expand your range of looks and discover new shades that suit you beautifully —
making fashion, makeup, and styling even more fun and expressive.

Mehrabian's Law: "First Impression Likability"

Dr. Albert Mehrabian, an American psychologist, found that first impressions are formed within just 5 to 7 seconds. These impressions not only define how others perceive you, but also influence your future relationships.

According to Mehrabian’s Law, non-verbal communication often conveys more than words.
Your appearance—face, clothing, grooming, and expressions—plays the most important role.

If you are expressionless or poorly groomed, it becomes harder to convey your intended message.

What is the first impression?
・The first thing people notice is your face
・Next, your clothing and overall atmosphere
In short, appearance makes up the majority of first impressions.

Why not improve your first impression? With R Dresser’s personal color analysis and makeup color advice, you can transform your appearance and create a more positive first impression.
